Worcester Credit Union Appoints Lucas J. Miller Interim President & Chief Executive Officer

 

Worcester, Massachusetts (July 1, 2024) – Worcester Credit Union announced today that Lucas Miller has been appointed Interim President & CEO. Mr. Miller succeeds Ms. Lisa Perrin, President/ CEO who will be departing Worcester Credit Union later this month.

 

Ms. Perrin shared “I want to express my gratitude to the full Board of Directors and the team of incredible employees of Worcester Credit Union. These last 5 years have exceeded my expectations. When I look back at the vision, we all shared upon me accepting this position, I am incredibly proud of all we have accomplished- together, in very short order. The experiences and opportunities during my time here have been invaluable to me, personally as well as professionally. Change is hard, but it is also the foundation of continued growth. As I embark onto a new chapter, know that working with you all has been an honor and I am forever grateful and proud of the experiences our collaboration has provided. I’m confident that Worcester Credit Union will continue successfully and seamlessly through this transition with great success. I wish you all the best.”

 

Board Chair Robert J. Hennigan, Jr. commented, “We are extremely thankful for Lisa’s commitment, leadership and unrelenting service to Worcester Credit Union. Lisa invested her heart and soul into Worcester Credit Union and its mission and vision; revitalizing, building and guiding a collaborative team that champions member satisfaction and commitment to the communities we serve. We will all miss Lisa and wish her the absolute best and continued success in her next role. At the same time, we are excited to be working with Lucas during this transition and to continue doing what we do best – assisting the members and our communities we serve in “reaching financial success together.”

 

Mr. Miller further noted, “Throughout her tenure, Lisa ensured that we achieved significant growth while remaining financially sustainable and member focused. My goal is to carry on that legacy in tandem with our very talented group of directors and staff.”

 

Lucas Miller has served the financial sector for over 20 years, including leadership roles in community banking, national nonprofit consumer advocacy, and mortgage lending. After most recently serving as Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Bay State Savings Bank, Mr. Miller devoted time to assisting with the formation of a nonprofit aimed at promoting effective standards for substance addiction recovery services. Mr. Miller has also served on the Board’s Finance Committee at Habitat for Humanity of Central Massachusetts and has assisted numerous other nonprofits alongside representing individuals as a pro bono attorney. Mr. Miller received his B.S. in chemistry from Worcester State University and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Miller currently resides in Leicester, Massachusetts and has previously resided in the city of Worcester for 14 years.
